Recipients of the GYFL Scholarship
In support of the mission of Greendale Youth
Football, we offer first year, post-secondary $1,000 scholarships
for Greendale football participants.
Eligibility Criterion

Participation of at least two years in the
Youth Football Program (candidate may substitute another
community's youth contact football program experience).

Participation in at least two years (senior
year inclusive) at the high school level.

A 2.5 (4.0 scale) cumulative G.P.A. or better.

No record of serious disciplinary problems.

Completion of the following:
-
Submission of a personal essay of not more than
400 words illustrating personal application of those youth
football program values in the community, school, family, work and
organizational endeavors (as listed in the introductory
paragraph).

Completion and submission of the Greendale
Youth Football Scholarship application form to the GHS Guidance
Department on or before April 3.

Selection of an educational, coaching and
community individual to complete and return a reference form to be
sent directly to the GHS Guidance Department on or before April 3.
As an applicant, you may be called for a personal
interview by the Youth Football Committee. The Greendale Youth
Football Executive Committee or its designees will collect all
information for review and selection of a recipient. Scholarship
money is distributed as follows:
• Five Hundred Dollars upon demonstration/proof of full time first
semester enrollment in a certified university/college,
vocational/technical, or business school (and sent to: Treasurer,
Greendale Youth Footbal l
League,
5136 Maplewood Dr., Greendale WI 53129).
• Five Hundred Dollars upon written documentation
of a 2.0 (4 point scale) or better performance for the first
semester and enrollment for the second semester that is to be sent
to the Greendale Youth Football League treasurer. Note: It is not
necessary that you play football in your post secondary school.
Important: All materials must be received by the GHS
Guidance Department on or before April 3rd. Applications will be
also be available in
the Greendale High School Guidance Office.
